Mining IPI’s packer solutions are being increasingly used by cost and environmentally conscious mining operations. Key applications include: Permeability Testing, where IPI can offer for sale or rental either its hydraulic Standard Wireline Packer System (SWPS) or the more conventional nitrogen packer systems, plus flow meters where required. Mine de-gasification – using hydrofracture equipment Block caving pre-conditioning – also using hydrofracture equipment. In addition, mines often have use for water wells or, sometimes, a water well style solution for dewatering, for which please also see our water well section. For remote mine sites the provision of a long life, high quality water well is also a great idea for local community relationships. |
